Porsche Digital Campus Challenge

The Porsche Digital Campus connects highly qualified students and graduates from the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Quantum Technology, Data Analytics, and other software technologies with business and science. Through this collaboration, we provide practical experience and create an environment that promotes technology transfer and product innovation.

In an increasingly digital world, the Porsche Digital Campus Challenge offers a platform for creative minds to develop innovative ideas. Our goal is to drive innovation and strengthen the bridge between academic research and industry.

Vision

Our aim is to actively involve the ideas, perspectives, and viewpoints of young talents in the development process and give them significance. Through collaboration with international Porsche Digital mentors from various fields, we foster innovative approaches and shape the future of customer touchpoints and technologies in the automotive industry.

Format

The Porsche Digital Campus Challenge took place from October 2024 to January 2025 at three Porsche Digital locations: Germany, Croatia, and Spain. A total of 195 teams from 16 countries applied, each consisting of 2–5 members. After a selection process, the 13 best teams were invited to participate. The students came from various disciplines, including UX, Marketing, Software Development, and Data Science. Throughout the program, they were mentored and coached by selected experts, enabling them to develop their projects in a targeted manner.

The Challenge consisted of three categories: Customer Relationship, Brand Experience, and AI & LLMs (Large Language Models). Key events included the Midterm Review and the Final Presentations. During the Midterm Review, the teams presented their initial results and received valuable feedback to further develop their projects. At the Final Presentations, they showcased their final results to a large internal audience. The students gained practical experience, found valuable networking opportunities, and had the chance to further develop their personal skills.

Winning Teams' Projects of 2024

The winning teams of this year's Challenge have developed impressive solutions that enhance the interaction between customers and Porsche. These projects leverage artificial intelligence and digital technologies to optimize efficiency and customer service.

Team Allija959 in the AI & LLM category developed an AI-powered configurator that utilizes user inputs to create tailored Porsche designs. The process is straightforward and allows for a personalized user experience.

Team 9th of September in the Brand Experience category focused on making the Porsche purchasing process more emotionally enriching. They analyzed the mobile user experience and redesigned the existing app to integrate features such as a 3D model of the vehicle and real-time information about the order status.

Team BARILLA in the Customer Relationship category created an omnichannel AI agent that provides quick and personalized responses to customer inquiries. This improves efficiency in the Porsche Customer Relations Hubs by centralizing and promptly handling complex requests.
